East Riding of Yorkshire Council has completed the development of 16 new affordable homes on Whitethorne Avenue, Withernsea.  The £3.65m new housing development consists of ten one-bed flats and six two-bed houses. East Riding of Yorkshire council is encouraging residents to support the East Riding Food Poverty Alliance (ERFPA). ERFPA’s network includes 13 foodbanks across the East Riding, from Goole to Bridlington, who will be supporting families facing food and fuel poverty this winter. East Riding of Yorkshire Council has allocated £20,000, provided through the UK government’s Household Support Fund, to fund adult financial literacy courses. The East Riding Adult Learning and Employability service will provide ‘Let’s Talk Money’ courses, with the Multiply Numeracy scheme, for individuals without a Level 2 maths qualification.
