As part of its efforts to help people in war-torn Ukraine, Beverley-based charity Jacob’s Well is planning to send at least five lorry-loads of medical and other aid to help refugees. Now, Molescroft Primary School is lending its support to those efforts by hosting a Jacob’s Well collection van in the school playground next week.

The van will be parked in the South Playground on Thursday March 17, between 8.30am and 9am, to accept donations. Suggested items include toiletries, nappies and baby clothes, tinned or dry goods and small toys. Head teacher Michael Loncaster told Beverley FM: “The human catastrophe which we see unfolding on our TV screens every day is shocking, worrying and devastating to witness.”
