The local sport was reduced in schedule following the postponement of all football this weekend. Beverley RUFC made it two wins from two at the start of their new season. The Beavers won away at Wetherby on the opening day and followed it up with a win away to Bradford Salem on Saturday afternoon. Hull KR have the bragging rights from the weekend's derby games. The Robins men's side won with just 16 available players in a valiant effort against cross-city rivals Hull FC.
