North Ferriby Fc host Teversal at the Dransfield this weekend in what is the Villagers’ final regular season home game. With just two league games left, Chris Bolder’s side have secured second place. This means the Villagers will enter the end-of-season playoffs with home advantage.

Chris Bolder made six changes to his side when they beat Clipstone last weekend. When asked the thought process behind this Bolder said, “We consolidated second and this gave us the opportunity to rest players who have been playing Tuesday, Saturday, Tuesday for the last few weeks. We have been able to give players minutes so that everyone is ready for the playoffs”.

This is the first game week in four that the Villagers don’t have a midweek game. When asked how his squad feels having had a break, Bolder said, “we trained on Tuesday, and we’ve picked up some injuries. It’s nice not to have the demands of the game and we have trained well this week”.

Ferriby’s opponents Teversal sit bottom of the table with 10 points to their name. Teversal have found the return to the NCEL tough after their move from the Central Midlands League last summer. They come into the game already relegated. They took a surprise 2-0 lead against Selby last week, only to get pegged back to lose 5-2. When asked about Teversal, Bolder stated, “relegated teams have nothing to lose. The pressure is off and they can come and have a go. Games of theirs recently have been much closer and we are expecting a tough game”.

The Villagers saw Danny East suffer an injury in training and his availability is in doubt. Joel Shortland returned to training this week and came through unscathed, so is in contention. Adam Bolder also returns to the squad.
