North Ferriby Fc host Glasshoughton Welfare at the Dransfield stadium in a rearranged fixture. The previous fixture between the two sides fell afoul of poor weather in February.

Since then, Ferriby have been in good form, besides a defeat at Hallam. In response to that defeat, Chris Bolder has seen his side dispatch of Rossington and Armthorpe, beating both sides 4-0 in dominant fashion. Chris Bolder was asked about how his side have bounced back the last two games, “Last two performances have been a mirror of how we want the team to play, brave in possession, players, working hard to create options for each, as well as the team effort to stop the opponents having any opportunities to attack our goal”.

The Villagers still sit in second place and continue to look to cement home advantage for the playoffs. They sit eight points clear of third-place Harrogate Railway.

In Glasshoughton, the Villagers face a side that sits in 15th place. Last time out they came from behind to gain a point at home against Nostell. Their top goalscorer Lewis Stephens equalising in the 36th minute. They possess the league’s tenth best defence with 63 goals conceded in 36 games. When the sides last met in October, the Villagers needed two goals in the last ten minutes to win 2-1.

Glasshoughton are a familiar club to inform Ferriby striker Josh Whiteley. Whiteley made the move to the Dransfield from Glasshoughton in October. The striker has scored four goals in the last two games. Bolder was asked about his inform striker, “Josh is in great form in terms of his goals, but his form has been excellent for a long time now, we were never worried that the goals weren’t always there as his overall contribution has been fantastic”.

Ferriby will welcome back Louis Kirk who missed the win over Armthorpe through suspension.
