all Road Rangers take on Dronfield Town in a mid-table clash on Tuesday night. The sides are separated by three places in the NCEL Division One table with Rangers occupying 11th position whilst Dronfield sit in 14th place.

Dronfield have won their last three league games against Clipstone FC, Teversal FC and Nostell Miners Welfare respectively. In doing so, Chris Millington’s side scored ten goals and only conceded twice. More specifically, Dronfield have won four of their last six league games and are joint 5th in the form table. Meanwhile, Rangers have picked up three wins from their last six league games.

Hall Road joint boss Dave Ricardo says that his players will have to battle for the three points.

“Tuesday night gives us the opportunity to build on our last fixture which was the win at home to Brigg. However, it’s not going to be easy against a side who’ll be full of confidence in Dronfield. From previous games down there, I know we can give the players the information that if you don’t win the battle you have little chance of winning the game.

They give very little away and have formed a tight-knit group over the years at this level. They’re not in it for the money, as with ourselves, but play for one another. We need to be on the front foot, be brave in possession and be clinical as we were against Brigg.

As with every away midweek game at this time of the season, the 15/16 may look a little different. However, we’ll have enough to ensure the three points are in our hands. We’ll ask as we do every week for the lads to be honest and work hard for another, but give them the freedom to relax and play the game with the ball. Whoever comes away with the points will know they’ve been in a scrap” Ricardo said.
