North Ferriby Fc comprehensively defeated Teversal 8-1 at the Dransfield stadium. Tom Corner scored five goals, Niall Tilsley got two and Josh Whiteley scored the one goal. It was an afternoon which saw the Villagers surpass 100 goals for the season.

Chris Bolder made three changes from last week’s 3-0 victory over Clipstone.

The Villagers opened the scoring when Josh Whiteley received the ball in the Clipstone half. The diminutive forward ran with the ball and through the Teversal defence. He then fired a shot off the underside of the bar and past Teversal keeper Leon Turton.

It was the visitors who scored next. A ball from Josh Dennett was intercepted by Cameron Pinnock and he then calmly  placed the ball past Lewis Exall.

The Villagers retook the lead not long after. Skipper Niall Tilsley rose higher than everyone else and he put the ball past Turton.

It would be three through Tom Corner. A corner was played short to Adam Bolder. Bolder then crossed the ball into the box where Tom Corner was there to head the ball home. It was this goal that made it 100 for the season for Bolder’s side.

Adam Bolder had a free kick in the Teversal half. He put the ball into the area where he found Niall Tilsley. The skipper headed the ball back across the goal and found Harvey Carew. A smart knockdown from Carew landed at the feet of Tom Corner. Corner dispatched the ball to score his second of the game.

The first goal of the second half came from the penalty spot. Danny Emerton raced onto the ball from a Tom Corner flick-on. As Emerton reached the area he was fouled by Teversal defender Brad Hall. Up stepped Corner who calmly put the ball into the goal to wrap up his hat trick.

Corner wasn’t content with just a hat trick and scored his fourth. Harvey Carew crossed the ball into the box on the second attempt. Danny Emerton hit the bar from the cross but the hall fell to Tom Corner who poked the ball home.

Corner got his fifth shortly after. He rose higher than everyone else to head home from another Ferriby corner.

Tilsley made it eight when he scrambled the ball into the goal from yet another corner.

Chris Bolder summed up his thoughts of the afternoon’s proceedings , “we scored some good goal ms today and played some nice stuff. The only slight disappointment is the goal that we’ve conceded. Let’s take all the positives and look at the resounding victory. We created many chances and could have even scored more goals. Good goals for Tom and some excellent deliveries for them. Tom attacked the ball well and got five great goals from it”.
