North Ferriby Fc host Hull City U23s in the Billy Bly trophy, at the Dransfield stadium as they continue their pre-season campaign. Saturday’s fixture will be the first at the Dransfield since the play-off final victory over Harrogate Railway in April. When asked about if he’s looking forward to returning to the Dransfield, Ferriby boss Chris Bolder said, “the lads are looking forward to getting back in front of our own fans. The club has put a lot of effort into the pitch this off-season. It will be great to play in front of a great crowd again”.

Ferriby started their pre-season off with a defeat at Selby last week, a 1-0 defeat in North Yorkshire. Chris Bolder played two different starting elevens in the game and gave Ferriby fans the chance to see new signings Danny Earl and Lewis Stephens. Fellow new signings Liam Dickens and Lewis Hill didn’t feature. When asked about his thoughts of the game and whether fans will see the other new signings this week, Bolder said, “you always want the game to have a purpose and we got that with players getting minutes in their legs. We got a chance to see players who have been training with us in a match setting. We will have Dickens and Hill available this week and they should see action”.

Ferriby are no stranger to hosting Hull City sides. They played each other twice last season. In preseason, Hull City came away with a 3-1 victory. The sides also met in October in another friendly. The outcome was the same with a 3-2 victory in favour of Hull City. Bolder was asked about how he feels Hull City will test his side, “they will move the ball and look to keep it. They have high fitness levels and have confidence playing on our surface. It will be a big test for us. It will test our ability to sense danger and make sure we are using possession well”.

Ferriby will be with Rich Medcalf and Louis Kirk this weekend.
