North Ferriby Fc continued their Pre-Season campaign with a 2-1 defeat against Bridlington Town, in what was a fiercely contested game of football.

The Villagers had the first opportunity of the half as Josh Dennett whizzed a low cross across the face of goal, but Lewis Stephens couldn’t direct his effort goal bound.

Bridlington went close through Ali Adyemir shot over from out the area.

Adyemir would be a focal point in the game’s opening goal. The winger got in behind Robbie Start who fouled Adyemir in the area. Lewis Dennison stepped up and put his penalty down the middle.

Danny Earl looked to get his side back level. The striker shot from outside the area, but his strike was well saved by Rasmus Kriise.

The Villagers started the second half brightly and found an equal through Adam Bolder. The veteran midfielder took the corner from the right and side and the ball evaded everyone and looped past Kriise to score direct from the corner.

Chris Bolder started to make changes throughout the second half and one of these changes almost made an immediate impact. Rich Medcalf rushed onto a weak back pass, but he couldn’t hit the target with his shot as the onrushing Kriise put pressure on the forward.

Lewis Exall produced two brilliant saves to keep the scores level. First, a save from point blank as an effort from a Bridlington attacker was deflected by a Ferriby defender. Secondly, a save from Andy Norfolk who shot from distance.

The visitors would find the winner through Andy Norfolk. The striker got goal side of the Ferriby defence as he met a cross from the right-hand side to put the ball beyond Lewis Exall.

North Ferriby boss Chris Bolder shared his thoughts after the game, “We made many changes again tonight. It’s difficult to get that continuity going so what we’re looking for is those individual performances and their fitness levels and contributions. We saw some nice patterns today. I thought it was a decent game of football and we will continue to build to Saturday”.

North Ferriby FC: Exall, Dennett (Leyland), Start (Shepherd), Bolder (Shortland), Donald, Tilsley (Moment), Emerton, Kirk (Dickens) Stephens (Medcalf), Clarke (Forrester), Earl (Carew).
