It took a stoppage-time winner from T’Nique Fishley to secure a 3-2 win for North Ferriby FC.

The Villagers started brightly. Chris Bolder’s side showed brilliant early pressing and the pace of Danny Earl caused Eccleshill problems early on. The Villagers looked to open the scoring and went close on a couple of occasions. Tom Corner tested the Eccleshill keeper, causing him to parry his effort out. Niall Tilsley saw his powerful header well saved.

The Villagers finally broke the deadlock through Danny East. A free kick was sent into the Eccleshill box. Niall Tilsley rose highest and sent the ball goalwards. A scramble ensued, with Danny East getting the final touch to send the ball into the goal.

The Villagers started the second half well and found their second goal of the game through Danny Earl. A Josh Dennett long throw found Tom Corner who played the ball on and after a small battle for the ball in the area, Danny Earl was on hand to score his first goal for the club.

Eccleshill managed to pull a goal back when a low cross into the box wasn’t gathered by Hampshaw allowing an Eccleshill attacker to pounce and score.

The home side levelled the scores when Joao Silva was able to drive with the ball, before placing a shot across goal.

Ferriby found the winner in the dying moments. Another Josh Dennett throw-in caused Eccleshill problems as T’Nique Fishley rose highest and headed the ball home to ensure the Villagers left West Yorkshire with all three points.

North Ferriby boss Chris Bolder had this to say after the game, “we started the game really brightly, we managed to get ourselves in front with a well-deserved goal, but then we started to allow them back into the game by stopping doing things that we were doing really well before. We spoke at halftime, and then we score another good goal, we had opportunities to put the game to bed, but 2-0 is one of those crazy score lines. We managed to pop up in the closing stages of the game”.

North Ferriby: Hampshaw, Dennett, Start, Tilsley, Fishley, Dickens, Kirk, Emerton, East (Shortland), Corner (Stephens), Earl (Buttle).
Subs not used: Douglas, Nelthorpe
