Hull City are delighted to announce that goalkeeper Matt Ingram has signed a new long-term deal. The 28-year-old has penned a three-year contract running until the summer of 2025, which includes a club option of a further year.

The custodian has made 76 appearances for the Tigers since signing from Queens Park Rangers in June 2019.

Understudy in his first season, Ingram excelled in his second and was a virtual ever-present as City were crowned League One champions, keeping 16 clean sheets in 38 league matches. He made 29 Championship appearances last season and set a new club record for the longest run without conceding an away goal – 560 minutes.

The glovesman ended the season on emergency loan at Luton Town, playing four times, including both play-off semi-finals against Huddersfield Town, before committing his future to the Tigers.

“I’m absolutely delighted and from a personal point of view, it’s nice to have that security of three years, plus an option,” said Ingram.

“I’m just delighted to be here. Ever since I’ve been here, I’ve loved the club.

“It was a no brainer – the new chairman coming in, the fans, I love it up here, I love living up here and so does my wife.

“The vision for next season, we want to be looking at the top half of the table rather than the bottom half.

“The goal is to get to the Premier League, whether that be next season or the year after. It’s massively exciting times for the football club.”
