Hall Road Rangers got back to winning ways against Swallownest FC on Saturday as they picked up a 2-1 victory at Haworth Park. Debutant Sam Deacon gave Rangers the lead in the 11th minute as he met a Chris Spinks cross and headed the ball home to get his 1st goal for the club. Beverley’s Jacobs Well charity is making an urgent appeal for people to donate cool boxes or thermal picnic carriers and bags following a plea for help from the Central Blood Bank In Ukraine. East Riding Council is on standby to take Ukrainian refugees after receiving hundreds of inquiries asking how to help. Children's services across the East Riding, aspects of which were rated as “inadequate” by Ofsted three years ago, have now improved, according to reports following the latest inspection. This was the third visit by Ofsted since 2019, when inspectors had rated children and young people's safeguarding and support services as inadequate.
