A road improvement scheme is to be carried out on the route between Brandesburton and North Frodingham, on a popular route to Driffield.  East Riding of Yorkshire Council is to invest £700,000 to upgrade the rural road and footpaths, with work starting on Monday 2 September and lasting for up to four weeks.  The scheme will include resurfacing, patching work and strengthening the edges of the road.  Some kerbing work will also take place at the North Frodingham end.  During Read more

Energy and regeneration specialist Equans has been awarded a multi-million contract to install new windows at homes owned by East Riding of Yorkshire Council. More than 2,100 properties will be upgraded through the three-year project with new draught-proof, double-glazed windows to help make the homes warmer. Residents are being asked for their views on plans to build a new bridleway bridge for Beverley over the Hull to Scarborough railway line.   East Riding of Yorkshire Council has launched a consultation for a proposed South Beverley Bridleway Bridge in Woodmansey, near Long Lane and Minster Way.  The scheme is estimated to cost around £11.2m and will be funded by the council with contributions from housing developers.  The plans are likely to go before the council’s planning authority later Read more
