Hull KR bounced back against Wakefield after the defeat in the derby last week, with the two points on offer being the biggest of the season thus far. KR came from behind after a poor first half to win 15-10, climbing to 8th in the table.

Will Dagger got the game underway against Wakefield, as the Robins’ looked to defend the first set of the game.

The Robins’ nearly scored on their first set. Coote fed Mikey Lewis through a gap whose kick nearly reached Ethan Ryan in the corner.

KR were forced into an early change as Dean Hadley picked up a shoulder injury. On came Sam Royle to make his Hull KR debut.

Twenty minutes had gone and neither side had a foothold in the game with very few chances for either team.

Wakefield would be the team to break the deadlock, as Max Jowitt broke through the Robin’s line and round Coote to score in the corner. He was unable to convert his try and the score was 0-4 to Wakefield with almost 25 minutes gone in the game.

Hull KR were forced into another change as captain Shaun Kenny-Dowall came off with a throat injury to force Parcell on for a second spell.

The half time whistle went in a first half which included minimal chances for both teams. A big half was required from Hull KR as they trailed 0-4 against Wakefield Trinity.
