December saw Club members end 2022 with a choice of festive fun and activities. Beverley AC’s hugely popular race, the Specsavers Walkington 10 k and fun run took place on the evening of Friday 8th July and was deemed a huge success. This year’s event took place on a lovely, warm evening with a field of around 550 runners. The Wolds Way Relay has become a regular fixture in the Club’s calendar and took place on Sunday 22 May with 12 teams from local running clubs taking part. Teams of 10 runners tackled the challenging 90 miles of the Yorkshire Wolds Way in reverse this year, starting on Filey Brigg and finishing on the Foreshore at Hessle.
