Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance is pleased to announce that NHS Humber Health Partnership is to take part in the colorectal cancer vaccine trial (BNT122-01). Specialist cancer teams at Castle Hill Hospital in Cottingham will soon offer fast-tracked access to a personalised cancer vaccine for a small number of eligible patients. Revised plans for the space surrounding the Jubilee monument in Pocklington Market Place have been released, following public engagement earlier this year. The scheme aims to deliver a small public square and more flexible event space. East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s revenues and benefits service have worked with Yorkshire Water to identify families who are eligible for a lower capped water meter tariff. Households on an income-based benefit, with three or more children, who use more water than an average household, may be eligible for Yorkshire Water’s ‘WaterSure’ tariff. East Riding of Yorkshire Council has started work to develop a small site of new affordable housing, on Burden Road in Beverley. The Burden Road project will see the delivery of four new council houses, which will consist of two two-bed houses and two three-bed houses.
