Hull City forward Óscar Estupiñán has won the Championship player of the month. The summer signing has scored seven goals in eight games, including a hat-trick against Coventry City. Estupiñán and his teammates will be looking to bring more success later today when the Tigers host Stoke City at the MKM Stadium. Stoke manager Alex Neil will be hoping for a first win in charge since switching from Sunderland.
North Ferriby will face Silsden away this evening in the NCEL Premier League. Chris Bolder’s side will look to put a difficult couple of weeks behind them. The hosts have had an inconsistent start to the season after a mid-table finish last year.
The Villagers and Beverley Town have both found out who they will be facing in the second round of the NCEL League Cup. Town beat Worsbrough Bridge Athletic 3-0 in the first round and will host Hallam FC of the NCEL Premier League. Ferriby have been drawn away at Staveley Miners Welfare, Staveley are currently level on points with Beverley in Division One.
