Hull FC Head Coach Brett Hodgson has left the club with immediate effect. Hodgson’s final game in charge was a humiliating 36-4 defeat to cross-city rivals Hull KR, who were only able to name a 16-man team. Throughout the season fans have called for the former man-of-steel to leave his post after on more than one occasion conceding over sixty points in a game.

There is only one Tuesday night game this week. Oliver Harsley previews:

Hall Road Rangers are in Whiteheads Fish & Chips Cup action on Tuesday night when they take on Beverley Town Reserves in a 1st Round tie at Norwood Recreation Ground.

After their defeat to Hedon Rangers in the league on Saturday, this is an opportunity for Hall Road to show a positive reaction and progress to the next round of the competition.

Beverley Town Reserves play in the Humber Premier League Division One, the division below Rangers, and sit in 2nd place in the league table. They’ve picked up seven points from three games so far this season.

Rangers manager Leon Sewell says that he will freshen up his squad for this game:

“We’ve got to go again. We’ve got Beverley Town Reserves on Tuesday night and that won’t be easy at all. We made a few changes on Saturday and it backfired. Come Tuesday, there’ll be no issues making that team selection.”

Hull City Ladies won this week’s vote! The Tigresses’ 4-3 win away at Newcastle earned them the Local Sports Team of the week.
