It has been a busy 24 hours at the MKM Stadium for signings. Hull City and Hull FC both announced yesterday a new player each, FC also confirmed contract extensions too.

The Black and Whites made a treble signing all in the same position. Hooker has been a position of intrigue for many Hull fans. Danny Houghton is reaching the autumn of his career after being a mainstay of the first team amassing over 400 appearances across 17 years in front of the Old Faithful. Houghton has been given a one-year extension, as has Joe Lovodua. The exciting Fijian international has shown great value in his versatility this season covering hooker, the back row and even stepping in at stand-off half during an injury spate at the club which saw no fit halfbacks. Brad Dwyer is the third of the signings. Dwyer adds further experience and pace to the number nine role. Currently playing at Leeds Rhinos he’s made over 200 appearances and won the Challenge Cup.

The Tigers introduced Salah-Eddine Oulad M’Hand as their latest signing. The 18-year-old Arsenal attacking midfielder joins on a season-long loan, with an option to buy at the end of the 2022/23 season. Oulad M’Hand has represented the Netherlands at a youth international level although holds a dual nationality with Morroco.

Beverley ARLFC are hoping to move a step closer to safety this evening. The Blue and Golds make the trip across to Cheshire to take on second-placed Crosfields. Nick Robinson previews.

Hall Road Rangers got their first win in the Humber Premier League following voluntary relegation from the NCEL. Rangers were 1-0 winners over LIV Supplies.
