PR: West Brom vs Hull City

Regardless of what some may think, Steve Bruce is still held in very high regard by many supporters of Hull City who are forever grateful for his achievements during a successful spell as manager of our Club. City enjoyed some fantastic times under Brucey and although the club has changed dramatically since his departure City will look to put one over their former favourite and crank up the pressure on winless Albion.

Hull City travel to The Hawthorns and hopefully build on an impressive start to their campaign when they visit Albion who have had a mixed start to the season. City fresh from a well-earned point at Burnley in midweek will be without the influential Allahyar Sayyadmanesh who will be sidelined for 6/8 weeks with a hamstring injury.

City are still looking to bolster the numbers prior to Saturday despite announcing the addition of Ryan Woods (Birmingham City) earlier today, with Salah Oulad M’Hand seemingly inbound next (Arsenal – loan) to an already impressive-looking squad of players.

City will look to Tufan & Estupinan to add to their recent goal tallies to bring the 3 points back to East Yorkshire.

West Brom have made a slow start to the season and not won any of their 4 games but will look to trouble City with the attacking threats of Jed Wallace and John Swift, and be hoping to kickstart the Baggies’ season. Karlan Grant will be a threat up top and will be a test for City’s backline.

I am expecting a tough encounter for City but one they are more than capable of winning and I expect City to continue their impressive start to the season with a well-earned 1-2 victory and increase the pressure on Steve Bruce.

Rob Black from Hull City OSC with the report.
