The Blue and Golds will return to action this Saturday after a 17-day lay-off in a key clash for both sides. Their opponents Dewsbury Moor, who defeated Beverley by 36-20 in the corresponding fixture back in March, lie 7th on 9 points as against Beverley’s 6 points in 11th place.

NCL 2 has now at the halfway stage split into a top half of 6 teams fighting for promotion and a bottom 6 fighting relegation. It goes without saying that the game is a four-pointer.

Looking ahead to the weekend Sam French commented “Saturday is a huge game for us and one that’s massively important to our season. We have been building over the past few weeks in areas, now the groups aim is to put it all together and ultimately kick us on. Again it’s a game we are looking forward to and with both teams in action it’s a good way to show things off.”

The home side are boosted by the return of Ryan Watkin and Josh Poskitt to the centers. The pack is bolstered by the return of Alex Calvert to the second row. The ‘A’ team are also in action at the Potting Shed taking on Cottingham Tigers at 12.15 pm with the first team game getting underway at 2.30 pm.

Team: B Riby, B English, R Watkin, J Poskitt, L Miller, F Coggle, L Poskitt, E Dickinson, C Cone, J Howdle, C Hutchinson, A Calvert, B Howdle. Subs: J Hart-Fisher, Joe McKenzie, J Vaudin, C Gay.
